FAQ

Questions, answered honestly

Most universities ask for your academic transcripts, an English test such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or Duolingo, a Statement of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation and a CV. For the visa you also need proof of funds; Germany asks Indian students for an APS certificate, and some Master’s applicants now also need a dMAT.

It depends on your course, budget and career plan. Germany and Italy suit students who want low-cost public universities; the UK offers one-year Master’s degrees; the USA has the widest choice of programmes; and Ireland and Australia have strong post-study work routes. We compare your shortlist country by country.

Start 12–18 months before your intake. That leaves time for tests such as IELTS or GRE, shortlisting, applications, scholarships and the visa. Germany’s APS certificate and Italy’s Universitaly pre-enrolment and Declaration of Value add extra steps, so plan for them early.

Compare the curriculum, entry requirements, tuition, location, ranking and post-study work options against your marks, budget and goals. Our counsellors shortlist universities where you have a realistic chance of admission, and free tools such as our German grade calculator show where you stand.

A Statement of Purpose is a personal essay explaining your academic background, career goals and why you chose a specific course and university. Admissions committees use it to judge your motivation and fit, so it should be written for each programme. We help you plan, draft and review your SOP and LORs.

It depends on the country. Most German public universities charge no tuition, Italian public fees are income-based at about €200–€4,000 a year, UK tuition usually costs £10,000–£38,000 a year and US private universities $30,000–$60,000. Add living costs and the proof of funds each visa asks for.

Yes. Examples include Italy’s regional DSU scholarships, Hungary’s Stipendium Hungaricum, Japan’s MEXT scholarship and many university merit awards. Eligibility depends on your marks, family income and deadlines, so apply early. We help you apply for every scholarship you are eligible for.

In most countries, yes. Germany allows 140 full days a year or 20 hours a week in term; the UK and Italy 20 hours a week; Australia 48 hours a fortnight; and Japan 28 hours a week with permission. Rules differ by visa, so check the country page before you plan your budget.

After you accept an offer, you gather what your destination asks for: the admission letter, proof of funds, health insurance and, for Germany, the APS certificate. You then book an appointment with the embassy or its visa centre, give biometrics and, for some countries, attend an interview. We prepare and review your whole file.

It ranges from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the country, the season and your case. Apply as soon as your admission letter and funds are ready, because the months before the September intakes are the busiest at most embassies and visa centres.

Yes, in most popular destinations. Germany gives up to 18 months to look for work; the UK Graduate Route gives 18 months for applications from January 2027; Ireland up to 24 months after a Master’s; Italy and Austria 12 months; and the USA up to three years of OPT for STEM graduates.

We do not provide job placements, but we offer career guidance, CV building and advice on using your post-study work period well. We also explain each country’s post-study work rules before you choose, so your plan after graduation is realistic from the start.
